CannaCosmic Vibrations: A Musical Journey to the Higher Self

You are invited to join Rachel Dugas and Jeremy Marais on a shamanic musical journey exploring higher levels of consciousness through sound and vibration.

Arrive at 7 pm to gather together and connect over a cup of infused herbal tea served by the lovely Gina Bee Golden. Before the ceremony everyone will be individually smudged with a bundle of sage, lavendar, and cannabis as you set your intention for the evening. We will leave time before and after the journey for participants to write down their intentions and reflections.

Around 7:30 pm, we will begin a series of breath and vocalization exercises, exploring a vocal meditation inspired by the Indian ragas. For the main portion of the evening participants will lie down while Rachel and Jeremy play an improvised musical journey using a variety of instruments, including saxophone, clarinet, frame drum, tuning forks, kalimba, chimes, ukulele, shruti box, and vocals. Throughout the journey, each participant will receive personalized, hands-on body tuning with BioSonics tuning forks.

This intimate event will take place in a private home nestled in the Redwood forest of Oakland. Light vegetarian snacks will be available before and after the journey. We will also have CBD granola (with optional yogurt) to ground down after the sound session is over. We are so excited that the lovely Gina Bee Golden will be sharing her handmade infused honey and granola with us, as well as offering an infused topical to lather yourself in before the sound session. Her products will also be available for sale to take home.

There are only 12 spots available, so book ahead as we will sell out! Ticket purchase is required to secure your space.

BENEFITS OF PLANT MEDICINE + SOUND HEALING:

Enhance the effects of your plant medicine with meditation and music.

Cultivate ritual and intention in your self-healing practice.

Resonate your body and spirit with the medicine melodies of Mother Earth.

Listening to healing sounds activates our body’s parasympathetic nervous system and releases natural mood-boosting chemicals. Enhanced by the plant, the resonant sounds stimulate the release of our body’s naturally occurring opiate, cannabinoid, and tryptamine molecules. In this ultra-relaxed state, we are able to activate the pineal gland and transition into alternate realities through the music. We invite you to experience reduced stress, elevated mood, and a deeper connection to your intuition.

PARTICIPANTS SAY:

"A wonderful and tranquility-inducing evening for literally every single person who is a human being!"

"The CannaCosmic journey took me way far out, into the great infinite space of love and creation, and integrated more sounds and instruments than I've ever seen at one singular event. Rachel and Jeremy offer a naturally powerful healing experience and I look forward to their future collaborations, and our continued space travel."

"I was expecting various tones, but not such brilliant musicianship!"

"After the journey, I've felt energetically lighter and cleaner plus I've had a more sensual, loving bond with my wife."

"Rachel and Jeremy took us on a beautiful journey through sound, easing is slowing in to a sense of safety and community with the group chants. Then they returned us safely and slowly to the outside world. It was a journey that I had looked forward to all week but it exceeded my high expectations."

"It felt similar to an ayahuasca ceremony, except it only lasts a couple of hours - and no vomiting :)"

MEET THE MUSICIANS:

Rachel Dugas is a performance artist, sound healing practitioner, and cannabis educator. As a young girl growing up in Massachusetts, she began her musical journey through classical piano and ballet at the Boston Conservatory of Music. A love for drumming, singing, hip-hop and West African dance opened her up to the spiritual healing power of music and dance as she explored the freedom of self-expression. As a student of Yoga of the Voice with Silvia Nakkach, she holds a certification in Sound, Voice, and Music in the Healing Arts from the California Institute of Integral Studies and studies Indian Dhrupad singing with masters Uday Bhawalkar and Nirmalya Dey. She recently returned from a musical journey around the world where she performed and taught in Greece, Spain, and India. Rachel entered the cannabis industry four years ago as a Marketing Manager at Firefly Vaporizer, and became passionate about the benefits of mindful cannabis use. Alongside her work with sound and music, she consults with a variety of cannabis companies, curates cannabis experiences, and writes educational content for health website HelloMD. Jérémy Marais, born and raised in the French Alps, he started to study saxophone as a kid and very soon developed a strong interest for improvised music. He has been living and studying traditional music in various parts of the world: West Africa, Spain, India, Turkey and Israel. As a multi-instrumentalist, Jérémy, in addition to alto and baritone sax, performs with clarinet, frame drum, kalimba, shruti box and various little percussions. Jérémy performed with international bands touring internationally for many years. During the last 10 years through various significant spiritual experiences Jérémy discovered the power music has to affect reality, to help shift, heal, let go, release, journey and grow. He is now using his musical skills toward this goal doing regular “Sound Healing Journeys” and "sound ceremonies" with “The Murmurations Duo”, “Sonic Shamanic” and Laura Inserra. He offers one on one healing sessions using voice, music and energy healing. Jérémy also offers weekly workshops on “Music Sound and Voice Improvisation”.
